How we work

Chimney work has a reputation problem, and it is mostly earned. The homeowner cannot see the roof, cannot see up the flue, and has no way to verify what they are being told. That asymmetry is why this trade produces so many stories about people being sold a rebuild they did not need.

Our answer to that is simple and it is the reason the $69 inspection exists. You get photographs of your own chimney. You see the crack, the gap, the rust, the nest — the actual thing, not a description of it. Then you get a written report in plain English telling you what is urgent, what can wait until next year, and what does not need doing at all.

We would rather tell you your chimney is fine and lose the job. A homeowner who trusts us is worth more over twenty years than one oversold rebuild.

What we are and are not

We are a specialist chimney company. We inspect, sweep, repair, tuckpoint, rebuild, cap and reline chimneys, and we service gas fireplaces. We are not a general contractor and we do not do roofing, siding or gutters as a sideline. When a chimney problem turns out to be a roofing problem, we tell you that instead of selling you chimney work.

We work across St. Louis City, St. Louis County and St. Charles County. Older brick homes in the City, Webster Groves and Maplewood need historic mortar matching. Newer construction in Chesterfield and St. Charles needs factory-built fireplace and chase-cover work. Those are genuinely different skills and we do both.
